Year Seven

Porter turned seven last Thursday. Seven! He is such a good kid. He loves Luke something fierce. For the most part he is good to Cameron. :) He loves anything arts and crafts. He's so creative! I constantly find him looking for things to make stuff out of. Throughout school I've been told how kind he is to the other kids. He is caring and hates to see people hurting. He is great at math and reading.

We got Porter out early from school and went to the Brigham City Temple open house. It was gorgeous! My whole family came as well as John's parents. Afterwards, everyone came back to our house to celebrate.
The requested Angry Birds cake. I think it turned out pretty good! When Porter saw it he said,"WHOA! COOL!" His face lit up. Totally worth the effort.

Posing with some of his gifts

It's been a great seven years. Happy Birthday, Porter!

Grade the 1st

It's day four of 1st Grade. Of having my oldest gone for half the day. I miss him. He is a great help with Luke. Cameron doesn't know what to do without his older brother. But it's okay. It's good for us. It's been good for me to remember how much I love him and how much he helps me.

Porter was so excited to start! His teacher is Mrs. Schmidt. Cameron calls her Mrs. Shit. Hee! We're working on getting it right.

He was so ready. And really, so was I. We all need a schedule and routine back. Have a great year, Porter!

Christmas Concert

I remember going to my siblings Christmas programs and thinking they were pretty dull. It's totally different when your own child is participating. I found Porter's program adorable and wishing they would have sang more than two songs. His Grandma Stayner also came to watch.
Please note the shirt and pants that are too small. John was in charge of getting him ready. Enough said. I had Activity Days right before the program. I barely had time to stuff my face with some Chick-fil-a and then head back out the door.

This is what my son does when he realizes your watching him. He tries to hide and sucks his cheeks in, trying not to smile. Ha!

First Snow

We got our first dose of snow a couple of days ago. The boys were overjoyed to see the white stuff falling outside their window. They kept asking if it was Christmas. :) By the time we headed out, it was already stating to melt. They still had a blast. Here they are making snow castles.

MMMMMM.....yummy snow.

This was right before I got a ball of snow in the face. Thanks, Porter. ;)

They can't wait until it snows more so they can make a huge snowman.

Fun at Grandma's

Last week, we went to Malad for five days. Porter didn't have school and it had been awhile since we were there. It was such a nice break!  When we came home Porter said, "Mom, I thought you were going to let us live at Grandma's house." I think it's clear that he loves it there. :)

We had a picnic

Made lots of Halloween crafts

Porter learned to ride his bike without training wheels! Yes, I know he should have a helmet. Don't judge me. I didn't bring it with us.

We also got to go to Pocatello and celebrate Hilary's 19th Birthday. We went to dinner, bowling and then back to her apartment for cheesecake. I can't believe how grown up my sisters are!
We had a lot of fun and it was nice to spend time with my family.

This was Porter the day he turned a year old.
Fast forward five years....
Really?! Sigh. I love you, Porter!
