It's A Wonderful World.

I want adventure in the great wide, somewhere
I want it more than I can tell
And for once it might be grand, to have someone understand
I want so much more than they've got planned....

Yes, I just quoted a Disney movie. But these words describe my longing for adventure perfectly. I believe motherhood is and adventure in it's own right. But I want to see the world. The Outback in Australia (no, not the steakhouse). Safari in Africa. Be totally cheesy and kiss my husband on top of the Eiffel Towel. Annoy the Buckingham Palace guards. Explore the catacombs in Egypt. Eat gelato in Italy. Overcome my fear of the ocean and go scuba diving; Swim with the dolphins. Oh, the places I want to go!!!

My dream job would be to work for National Geographic. I was looking through a NG magazine at the doctors office recently. I come alive when I look at the pictures, read the stories.

There are plenty of things I want to see in the states, as well. I really want to take more time and travel.  I want the boys to be curious about our world. What it has to offer. The history and culture. I thirst! And hope they will, too. So, here's to making more time for exploration, adventure and enjoying this big, beautiful world! Even if it's only up Logan Canyon....
