This sweet boy goes in for eye surgery tomorrow.
I'm confident in the doctor and his abilities. Still, I'm anxious. I don't handle things like this well. In other words, I'm just a big baby.
We can expect blood streaked tears. Red eyes for about two weeks. And we have to be extremely careful about keeping him away from things that could cause infection. Like dirt. It's summer. He's a boy. He's a dirt magnet! And then there's the no eye rubbing. I don't know how we're going to pull that one off.
Please, keep my little boy in your prayers. These next couple of weeks are going to be hard on both of us.
Oh, man. Recovery sounds worse than the procedure! I'm glad you don't have to add travel time on top of it. Let us know how it goes...
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I thought. Surgery is the easy part! I will definitely keep you posted.
ReplyDeletePoor guy. I hope all goes well, good luck keeping his hands away from his eyes. That would be tough.
ReplyDeleteGood luck and I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteStraight jacket? Good luck! Your family will be in our prayers. Let us know how it goes.
ReplyDeleteErica- they actually have forearm/wrist restraints, as a last resort. I don't want to go there. It seems so wrong!
